“I hired Contour & Blush to do hair & makeup for my wedding. I met Vanessa for a trial appointment on the day of my bridal shower (a few months before my wedding) and discovered that Vanessa was an incredible makeup artist, had a great sense of humor, and excellent taste in music. I couldn’t decide what to wear to my shower, so I had brought several dresses, shoes, and earrings to my trial appointment in case Vanessa could help - turns out she was willing to be my personal stylist for the afternoon and I couldn’t have been happier about it! When planning for the actual wedding day schedule, Vanessa suggested several options for start times and ultimately I decided to hire a second member of her team so that my bridesmaids and I didn’t have to rush. Vanessa and Sophia showed up a few minutes early the morning of my wedding and one of my bridesmaids asked if Vanessa and Sophia were our long lost best friends. They made sure everyone was comfortable, did exactly what each person requested for their hair as well as for their makeup. Two of my bridesmaids requested a more bold & vibrant look, one of my bridesmaids - who has extremely sensitive skin - still wanted to look done up even though her skin didn’t do well with a lot of makeup, and my other bridesmaids wanted something in between. Vanessa and Sophia made it all look easy, got everyone’s hair and makeup done ahead of schedule (including mine, perfectly!) with plenty of time for touch-ups and extra hairspray or bobby pins as needed. We wished that they could’ve hung out with us all day because Vanessa and Sophia truly made the morning of my wedding a relaxing and a fun experience. My hair stayed in place until I took out all the bobby pins at 2am. My sisters and I look as flawless in the photos taken at 11:45pm as we do in the photos taken at 2pm. Also, a month after I got married, my maid of honor told me that she had reached out to Vanessa the day before my wedding to ask what lipsticks were used in my trial appointment. Vanessa responded right away and my maid of honor had time to go get the right lipsticks so that she could have them for touchups the next day after the ceremony and throughout my reception. I highly, highly recommend Contour & Blush to anyone looking for expertly skilled, fun-to-be-around makeup and hair artists, who care about their clients and the work they’re doing. Vanessa is my fairy godmother.
